Associate Professor of Management Information Systems, Paul Pavlou was ranked in the top five of researchers in information systems worldwide based on an analysis of publications in the top 3 information systems journals (Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Research (ISR), and Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS)) during the period 2003 – 2007.
The analysis was conducted by Clark, Warren, and Au in the Communications of the Association for Information Systems (volume 24, article 14, February 2009). Clark et al., analyzed the work of 3,404 researchers who produced 2,155 published articles during the selected period. Dr. Pavlou focuses on online auctions, electronic commerce, and IT strategy. His work has been cited over 800 times in ISI and 2500 times in Google Scholar. In 2006, he received the IS Best Publication of the Year award. He is on the board of leading journals including Management Information Systems Quarterly and Journal of Association for Information Systems. Dr. Pavlou received his doctorate from the University of Southern California in 2004. He joined the faculty of Fox School in fall 2008.
